When a Twitter account linked to Football London news on Tottenham Hotspur posted about the club’s reported interest in striker Vedat Muriqi on Tuesday night, it was gate-crashed by loads of Fenerbahce fans with some outrageous demands.

Turkish media outlet Sabah reported earlier this week that the north London outfit were keeping tabs on the 25-year-old, who only signed for the Istanbul giants this summer, and had scouted him during Kosovo’s 2-1 win against the Czech Republic at the weekend.

The centre-forward’s reputation likely went up even further given his display in his nation’s 5-3 defeat against England at St Mary’s on Tuesday, when he scored one and assisted two on a crazy night on the south coast.

Fenerbahce supporters responded to the post about Spurs’ interest following the final whistle of that game, and they weren’t afraid to offer some quite ridiculous proposals should Mauricio Pochettino want to sign him – including needing €200m as well as giving them Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane as part of the deal!

وتابع: “أحد الأشخاص الكبار والمرموقين كان يريد انضمام مروان محسن للزمالك، وكانت هناك صراعات كثيرة في هذه الصفقة، ولو لم ننه الصفقة كان اللاعب سينضم للنادي المنافس”.

واستطرد: “لم أستطع أن أذهب إلى الإسماعيلية نهارًا، فذهبت الساعة 3 فجرًا، وجلست مع محمد أبو السعود رئيس الإسماعيلي في ذلك التوقيت، والأوراق كلها كانت جاهزة ولكن الختم لم يكن موجودًا، إداري الإسماعيلي أخفى الختم!”.

وواصل: “الإداري لم يرغب في انضمام مروان محسن إلى الأهلي، ولكن أبو السعود حطم القفل وأتى بالختم”.

وأتم: “مروان محسن لاعب جيد جدًا والجماهير تتحامل عليه بعض الشىء، ولكنه يشارك مع أي مدير فني وينضم لمنتخب مصر، وإذا كان غير مؤثرًا لما شارك”.

واستكلم: “محمد الشناوي تلقى عرضًا من البرتغال عندما كان لاعبًا في بتروجت، وعبد العزيز عبد الشافي مدير قطاع الكرة في الأهلي آنذاك طلب مني التعاقد معه، وتواصلت مع الشناوي هاتفيًا، وكان رده (معاك في أي وقت وبأي رقم)”.

وكشف: “تحدثت مع نائب رئيس نادي بتروجت والمفاوضات لم تستغرق وقتًا طويلًا، لأنه كان متبقي موسم واحد في عقده، ورغبة الشناوي كانت العودة للأهلي”.

واختتم: “القيمة المالية في عقد محمد الشناوي لم تكن ضخمة، لأن طموحه كان التواجد في الأهلي بأي ثمن لكي يثبت ذاته، ولم يتردد لحظة في الموافقة”.

أكد هشام حطب رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية المصرية، أن انتخابات الاتحادات الرياضية والأندية ستقام بعد الانتهاء من أولمبياد طوكيو.

وقال حطب في تصريحات إذاعية عبر أثير راديو “أون سبورت”: “لن تقام انتخابات الاتحادات الرياضية إلا بعد انتهاء الدورة الأولمبية”.

وتابع: “لو الدورة الأولمبية أقيمت في موعدها المحدد يوم 23 شهر يوليو المقبل وحتى 8 أغسطس، ستعقد الانتخابات بعدها مباشرة”.

وعن موقف نادي الزمالك، قال: “القانون ينص على أنه من حق الزمالك أن ينتهي من ميزانيته في أول شهر يوليو المقبل، ويعتمدها من لجنته، ويدعو لجمعية عمومية عادية لمناقشة الميزانية ويوجد بها بند انتخابات، وليس عليه الانتظار 4 سنوات لأن الأعضاء تغيروا”.

وعن تطورات القضية التي رفعها مجلس الزمالك السابق على اللجنة الأولمبية، اختتم: “مستعدون جيدًا لها، ولن نخوض في التفاصيل، وردنا سيكون قويًا للغاية، وكل شيء بالقانون والمستندات، ونأمل أن نكون أصحاب الحق بها”.

Some Manchester United fans have found something positive in Saturday’s rather drab performance, as Fred showed some glimpses of his talent in a short cameo off the bench.

It’s fair to say the Fred versus Naby Keita debate is well and truly dead and buried.

Playing just 24 minutes as a substitute, the 26 year-old strung play together nicely in a manner that had been missing earlier in the game, completing 85.7% of his passes and one dribble, per WhoScored, as well as one tackle and three clearances.

Marco Silva has not ruled out a January move for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma in his recent press conference, which has seemingly got the Everton faithful dreaming of his return to Goodison Park.

The Frenchman was at the club for the entirety of last season and Toffees fans have been missing his presence in their backline ever since, whilst some Chelsea devotees have seemingly given up on him after his performance in midweek.

Last term, the defender averaged an admirable 6.78 rating in the Premier League for the Merseysiders and as fans have pointed out, he helped bring out the better player in Michael Keane. The Englishman averaged a 7.18 in the league last year alongside Zouma, which subsequently helped Keane become a regular in the England setup, appearing eight times for his country last season.

This time around, however, Everton have struggled in defence without the Chelsea man, conceding 12 goals in just seven games, with the former Burnley defender averaging just one tackle per game alongside Yerry Mina.

Marco Silva is clearly under some pressure right now, as Everton are sat just two points above the drop zone in 15th. Therefore, recruiting a man with proven ability in his defence should be a serious consideration for him.
